The Genelec W371 is an innovative adaptive woofer system that integrates with Genelec’s 8341, 8351 and 8361 studio monitors, creating a full-range system with unrivalled neutrality and directivity control.
The Genelec W371 has a frequency response ranging from 20Hz to 500Hz. It has two opposite woofers (one front and one back) each with individual DSP processing. The front woofer is sealed, while the backfiring woofer is ported.
The W371 works with GLM software to become a clever room detection system, creating a time-aligned and unique response to create a “virtual” flat response with superior directivity. Used in conjunction with the 8341, 8351 and 8361 and their own GLM, this creates a stunningly flat response with incredible stereo imaging and controlled bass nodes.
