Versatile Frequency Adjustment
The API 5500 Stereo EQ offers four independent bands of equalization per channel, allowing precise shaping of sound across a broad frequency range from 30Hz to 20kHz.
Designed for recording, mixing and mastering applications, the single rack space API 5500 EQ is a two-channel EQ package with an all-discrete signal path that combines the classic features of the API 550B four-band EQ module with the boost and cut precision of the 550D and the 550M mastering equalizer.
Each channel of the API 5500 features four independent bands of equalization - Lo, Lo-mid, Hi-mid and Hi - covering a frequency range from 30Hz to 20kHz.
The four EQ bands on each channel operate in conjunction with a range control that offers three choices of boost and cut: the standard API +/-2dB, +/-1dB, and a .+/-0.5dB setting.
The self-powered unit is built to API's exacting quality standards in the USA and includes the usual five-year warranty.
