Through manually adjustable and voltage-controlled waveshapes, including the distinctive sine-shark fin and pulse wave with pulse width modulation (PWM), your creative sonic explorations are boundless. Moreover, a Zener diode-based noise generator and a resonant lowpass voltage-controlled filter (VCF) provide the tools to craft intricate and textured soundscapes.

Bullfrog offers an array of features for those inclined to infuse their musical compositions with nuance and depth. A voltage-controlled amplifier (VCA) with adjustable offset and the capacity to delve into delay effects, featuring customisable delay time and feedback, are readily available. The instrument boasts two looping attack-sustain-release envelope generators (EG), granting you precise control over the dynamics of your sound.

Fundamentally, Bullfrog operates as a classical subtractive synthesiser, consisting of various "modules" for sound generation (VCO, NOISE GENERATOR) and sound treatment (VCF, VCA/DELAY). Additionally, it includes "modules" dedicated to generating control and modulation signals for these components (ENVELOPE GENERATORS and SAMPLE & HOLD). It's crucial to note that Bullfrog does not generate sound until these "modules" are connected, either through eurorack patch cables or by inserting voice cards, which create internal connections between the "modules" in predetermined ways, offering additional functionalities such as sampler/looper, sequencer, or groovebox. This approach enhances comprehension of subtractive synthesizer functionality and sound design principles.
