The RME HDSPe MADI FX PCIe audio interface brings impressive capabilities with a total of 390 channels of audio including three MADI I/Os and onboard 192kHz DSP engine.
Using RME’s latest Hammerfall Pro Audio Core, the RME HDSPe MADI PCIe is capable of 3 times more processing than previous Hammerfall MADI interfaces while the built-in DSP uses an intelligent algorithm capable of allocating DSP only to the channels being used.
What’s more, the RME HDSPe MADI FX features a unique Seamless Redundancy Operation (SRO) technology that prevents seamless audio switching. In this mode, the HDSPe MADI FX works as a single MADI unit allowing the recording of 64 simultaneous channels. If one channel fails, One of the other two MADI inputs is automatically used without the need for synchronisation. This ensures the integrity of the audio data and minimal interruption of a few samples.
To accommodate that many channels, RME’s HDSPe MADI FX features on-board DSP and a special version of TotalMix FX which allows near zero latencies on multiple monitoring and mixing effects, and an impressive routing capabilities of the 4096 virtual channels and 390 I/O. What’s more TotalMix FX’s GUI has been cleverly redesigned and can hide any unused channels and to save and recall any setup preferences.
