Manley Labs

Founded in California by David Manley in the late 1980s and later led by EveAnna Manley, Manley Labs became one of the most respected names in high-end valve-based studio equipment.

Renowned for combining classic tube circuitry with precision modern engineering, the company established its reputation through iconic products including the Massive Passive EQ, Variable Mu Compressor, Reference Microphones, Core channel strip, and VOXBOX recording processor.

Each piece is meticulously crafted and imbued with a vintage aesthetic and modern performance edge. Manley’s creations, cherished by professionals and audiophiles alike, remain synonymous with sonic excellence and analogue tone, reflecting a commitment to artistry that continues to define the brand.

Manley designs make extensive use of high-voltage vacuum-tube circuitry, custom MANLEY IRON® transformers, Class-A amplification and carefully selected components, with equipment hand-built at the company’s facility in Chino, California.

From the smooth dynamic control of the Variable Mu to the passive valve-based equalisation of the Massive Passive, Manley equipment is designed to deliver generous headroom, harmonic richness and musical colour while retaining the detail and control required for critical professional production.
