Chandler Limited

Chandler Limited

Founded in the USA by designer Wade Goeke, Chandler Limited has become one of the most distinctive names in modern analogue studio equipment, combining original circuit design with a deep appreciation for classic recording technology. The company is particularly renowned for its official relationship with Abbey Road Studios and EMI, producing equipment based on historic EMI circuits alongside its own designs. Key products include the TG2 Pre Amp, TG1 Limiter, Curve Bender EQ, Zener Limiter, REDD.47 Mic Amplifier, RS124 Compressor, RS660 Compressor and REDD Microphone.

Chandler’s designs span discrete transistor, germanium and valve circuitry, with extensive use of transformer-balanced signal paths and circuits derived from the legendary REDD and TG consoles used at Abbey Road. Rather than simply reproducing vintage hardware, Wade Goeke frequently expands the original designs for contemporary studio use. The Curve Bender, for example, develops the EMI TG12345 console EQ into a far more flexible mastering processor. Hand-built in the USA, Chandler Limited equipment is prized for its punch, harmonic colour and unmistakably characterful approach to recording, mixing and mastering.
