Harrison Audio has been a leading provider in the post-production, video production, broadcast, sound reinforcement, and music recording industries since its inception in 1975. Harrison Audio is celebrated for its analogue and digital mixing consoles, including the legendary 32 Series, the MPC5, and its latest high-performance analogue console that features built-in converters and a digital interface

1. 32 Series Analogue Mixing Console

The 32 Series analogue mixing console is one of Harrison's most famous and revered products. Introduced in the late 1970s, this console became a staple in professional recording studios worldwide. Its fame is partly due to its exceptional sound quality, characterised by warmth, clarity, and depth that many engineers and producers sought for their recordings. The 32 Series consoles were known for their robust construction, comprehensive routing options, and the musicality of their EQs

The Harrison 32 Series analogue mixing console played a pivotal role in producing some of the most iconic music of its time. The 32 Series was embraced by legendary artists and producers, including ABBA, Michael Jackson, and Queen. Its use in crafting the sound of groundbreaking albums and hit songs across various genres highlights its versatility and impact on the music industry. The console's innovative design, featuring modular construction and comprehensive routing options, set new recording and mixing technology standards, leaving a lasting legacy on the art of audio production.

In 2023, Harrison relaunched its iconic 32 Series with the 32 Classic Console, a 32-channel analogue mixing console designed for music producers and musicians. The 32Classic seamlessly merges traditional analogue craftsmanship with modern digital features, offering 32 mono mic/line channels with the renowned 32C four-band parametric EQ, high-end AD/DA conversion, and a Dante AoIP interface. Highlighting sonic integrity through transformer-coupled mic preamps and premium components, it carries on Harrison's legacy in music production. The console's flexible architecture, Atmos Monitoring, DANTE converters, and a DAW-compatible frame enhance studio ergonomics, making the 32Classic a testament to analogue quality with digital flexibility aimed at crafting timeless music.

2. Move to Digital

Harrison's transition to digital consoles has been marked by a careful balance between preserving the sonic qualities of their analogue heritage and embracing the benefits of digital technology. This approach has allowed Harrison to maintain its esteemed position in the audio industry, providing tools that meet the modern demands of audio professionals while continuing to honour the legacy of its analogue past.

Harrison's MPC series consoles are specifically designed for the film and television post-production market, known for their extensive routing capabilities, automation features, and support for surround sound formats.

Harrison's digital mixing consoles offer the flexibility and precision of digital signal processing to replicate the intuitive workflow and sound of their analogue predecessors. These consoles have advanced features like multi-touch screens, programmable DSP, and integrated DAW control, making them suitable for modern post-production, broadcasting, and music production environments.

These consoles are celebrated for handling complex audio post-production tasks precisely and easily.

3. Harrison Mixbus DAW

Harrison's venture into software, with the development of the Mixbus and Mixbus32C DAWs, represents a pivotal moment in making the Harrison mixing experience accessible to a broader audience. These DAWs are unique because they integrate Harrison's renowned console sound and workflow into a digital platform. Mixbus and Mixbus32C offer features such as analogue-modelled summing, tape saturation, and a workflow that mimics the tactile experience of working on a Harrison console. These characteristics have made them popular among users seeking analogue sound characteristics and workflow efficiency in a digital format.

4. A foray into the world of 500 Series

At the NAMM 2024. Harrison announced their first 500 Series modules, The 32Cpre+, MR3eq and Comp, providing users with the legendary sound of Harrison consoles in their workflow.
