The Electrodyne 511b is a 500 series two band discrete transistor and active inductor EQ based on Electrodyne’s classic 1960’s and 1970’s design.

The Electrodyne 511b is similar to the 511 but adds an additional eight frequency points on each band as well as a switch to select wide or narrow Q. Both gain controls are stepped using 1/2dB steps allowing for precise settings and easy recall.  

These new features open up the smooth EQ response so popular with recording and mixing engineers to mastering applications, adding sparkle and weight to your mix buss or in your mastering chain.

Electrodyne 511b 500 Series EQ Main Features:

  • Two-band inductor EQ
  • 12 shelving and peaking frequencies per band, with wide and narrow peak buttons for a total of 37 EQ positions
  • 31 step detented gain pots providing approximately 1/2dB steps and easy recall
  • Same boutique quality design and performance as the original 511
  • Distortion: 0.03%typical
  • Maximum output: +30db at less than 0.8%thd. (+29.5db at 0.06%thd)
  • Frequency response: +/- 0.25db, 10hz to 70khz typical
