The Fredenstein Artistic Mic Pre is a 500 Series mic pre offering high end performance for less.

The Fredenstein achieves superior sound and performance thanks to Fredenstein’s OPA2 discrete audio op-amp and steel-core output transformer. The OPA2 is easily changeable making it easy to change for other compatible op-amps while the output transformer adds a smooth and vintage sound without ever sounding dark.

A 100k Ohms high impedance input is included on the front panel allowing the connection of balanced and unbalanced signals. The Artistic mic pre delivers up to 65dB of gain and features a 20dB pad for when used on loud sources. Switchable polarity, input impedance and phantom power are also present.
