The 1010music Nanobox Lemondrop is a compact four-voice polyphonic granular synthesiser featuring dual granulators, an additional oscillator, touchscreen control, onboard effects, and microSD sample support in a portable enclosure.

Granular Synthesis in a Compact Format

Lemondrop delivers a detailed granular synthesis engine with two granulators and one standard oscillator, offering complex textures ranging from smooth ambient layers to chaotic glitch tones. Each oscillator can process up to 16 grains, yielding a total of 128 simultaneous grains. The sample memory per oscillator is 30 seconds, allowing for rich sound design using the included 311 wave files or user-loaded content via microSD.

Touchscreen Control and Modulation Architecture

A 2-inch touchscreen interface gives users direct control of sound shaping with real-time X/Y morphing and access to in-depth parameter editing. The modulation engine features two LFOs, two ADSR envelopes, and a flexible modulation sequencer, enabling dynamic and expressive patch creation. MIDI integration allows hands-on manipulation using external controllers.

Integrated Effects and Sound Design Tools

Lemondrop includes six onboard effects assignable to two slots, creating up to twelve effect combinations. FX1 includes flanger, distortion, chorus, and phaser, while FX2 offers delay and reverb. Users can apply effects to enhance sonic depth and space, tailoring each patch to performance or production needs.

Connectivity and Workflow Integration

The unit includes 3.5mm mini TRS jacks for MIDI input and output, clock input, line-level audio input, and stereo output. Sample playback and processing operate at 48kHz, ensuring clear digital fidelity. Weighing just 0.25 lbs and measuring 1.5 x 3.75 x 3 inches, Lemondrop integrates easily into portable or tabletop setups. It runs on USB-C power at 5V, 500mA.

Lemondrop ships with 153 presets and allows users to save their own patches. It offers deep editing and modulation capabilities typically found in larger systems, packed into a pocket-sized form factor suitable for mobile synthesis, studio use, or live performance.
