Exceptional Audio Quality
Experience unparalleled sound clarity with 24-in/24-out analogue I/O and advanced AD/DA conversion, ensuring professional-grade recording and playback for all your audio projects.
The Apogee Symphony I/O Mk II 24x24 (Connect 8x8MP + 16x16 SE) Thunderbolt 3 is a flagship modular Thunderbolt 3 audio interface featuring premium 24-in/24-out analogue I/O, eight Advanced Step Gain Architecture microphone preamps, 16 channels of Special Edition AD/DA conversion, AES and ADAT digital connectivity, an intuitive touchscreen display, ultra-low latency performance and expandable modular architecture for professional recording, mixing, mastering and immersive audio production.
The Symphony I/O Mk II 24x24 combines Apogee's Connect 8x8MP and 16x16 Special Edition modules to create a versatile recording system with 24 analogue inputs and 24 analogue outputs. This hybrid configuration delivers the flexibility of eight premium microphone preamps alongside sixteen channels of Apogee's highest specification Special Edition conversion, making it an ideal solution for professional studios that require exceptional recording quality and uncompromising playback performance.
The modular design allows engineers to customise the interface to suit evolving studio requirements while retaining compatibility with Thunderbolt 3, Pro Tools with Dante and Waves SoundGrid systems.
The 16x16 SE module represents Apogee's highest performing converter technology. It incorporates the latest ESS Sabre32 Hyperstream 32-bit DACs together with advanced Time Domain Jitter Elimination technology to achieve exceptional transparency, remarkably low distortion and an expansive dynamic range of up to 129dB.
A newly designed high-current, low-impedance output stage maintains excellent performance across a wide variety of connected equipment while preserving transient detail, low-frequency impact and overall sonic accuracy. The result delivers the precision required for critical mixing, mastering and high-end monitoring applications.
The Connect 8x8MP module integrates eight of Apogee's Advanced Step Gain Architecture microphone preamps, delivering clean, transparent gain with excellent headroom and precise level control. The integrated design provides eight microphone inputs, eight analogue I/O channels and AES and ADAT digital connectivity within a single module, maximising channel density without sacrificing sound quality.
This configuration suits multi-track recording, broadcast, post-production, education, live sound and commercial recording facilities where reliable, high-quality microphone inputs remain essential.
Thunderbolt 3 connectivity provides extremely low latency for demanding recording and monitoring applications. Each Symphony I/O Mk II supports up to 32 simultaneous inputs and outputs per unit, while multiple interfaces can connect through a single Thunderbolt 3 port to create larger recording systems with minimal configuration.
The interface integrates seamlessly with Logic Pro, Pro Tools and other native Digital Audio Workstations, delivering responsive monitoring and dependable performance throughout complex recording sessions.
The Symphony I/O Mk II platform adapts to changing production requirements through its modular architecture. Users can install different I/O modules, expand analogue channel counts or select alternative connection formats without replacing the entire interface.
This flexibility allows studios to invest in a platform that grows alongside their workflow, whether recording bands, producing immersive audio or expanding into larger commercial facilities.
A redesigned front panel features a responsive high-resolution TFT touchscreen that provides immediate access to monitoring, routing and interface configuration. Engineers can monitor signal levels, adjust polarity, engage phantom power, configure Soft Limit settings and control essential I/O functions directly from the hardware.
The intuitive interface speeds up system setup while reducing reliance on software during recording sessions.
The Symphony I/O Mk II supports modern immersive production workflows with dedicated monitor management for Dolby Atmos, Sony 360 Reality Audio and other multi-channel audio formats. Users can configure and control monitoring systems with up to 32 speaker outputs directly through the Thunderbolt platform, simplifying immersive studio calibration.
The Symphony I/O Mk II 24x24 serves as the centrepiece of commercial recording studios, mastering rooms, scoring stages, broadcast facilities and post-production environments. Its combination of premium microphone preamps, industry-leading Special Edition conversion, modular expansion and Thunderbolt 3 performance provides a highly capable platform for the most demanding production workflows.
