Audient ASP800 8-channel Mic Preamp and ADC

The Audio ASP800 is an eight-channel mic preamp designed to provide world-class I/O and a great addition to an audio interface.

The Audio ASP800 uses eight super clean preamps found in their legendary ASP8024 consoles, originally developed by David Dearden delivering the smooth tone this mixing desk was known for. The first two channels also feature new HMX and Iron tone controls bringing a retro tone associated with 1960’s valve equipment and transformer grit in the 1970’s. These new functions deliver warm and sparkle and can be combined. Both HMX and Iron feature additional controls called Mosfet Drive and Magnetic Drive which can affect how much colour is imparted to the sound. Two JFET DI inputs are also provided on channel 1 and 2 letting you connect your bass and/or guitar and record instantly.

The ASP800 is a great way to add more preamps to an audio interface thanks to its 118-dB AD Converters from Burr Brown which have been leaders in converter technology for many years. The ASP800 lets you add eight superb preamps which are beautifully converted for a true representation of your sound.

High-quality components are used throughout this 1U Chassis with hand-milled aluminium knobs to its all-metal construction.
