At the core of the DT 1990 PRO MKII is the TESLA.45 driver system. This next-generation 45 mm dynamic transducer has been entirely reengineered to deliver high-resolution sound with minimal distortion and precise transient response. Designed for long sessions, the DT 1990 PRO MKII incorporates a memory foam headband with a central fontanelle recess to relieve pressure on sensitive cranial areas. The headband’s spring steel structure ensures secure but comfortable contact pressure. Breathable velour ear pads reduce heat build-up, and all wearable components, including the headband and pads, can be replaced for extended service life.
The headphones include two distinct ear pad sets: "Producing Velours" for enhanced bass reproduction and a richer tonal character, and "Mixing & Mastering Velours" for a more linear and analytical sound presentation. These allow users to tailor the acoustic profile to specific production needs without altering core performance.
Supplied with both a 3-metre straight cable and a 5-metre coiled cable—each using a lockable 3-pin mini XLR connector—the DT 1990 PRO MKII offers reliable connectivity in any studio layout.
