The Black Lion Audio Bluey is a single channel FET compressor based on Chris Lord-Alge’s golden 1176 Rev A compressor with modified circuit.
The Black Lion Audio Bluey recreates all the different changes undergone by Chris Lorde Alge’s favourite “ Blue Stripe” compressor. After careful analysis, Black Lion Audio has discovered a series of modification on the original unit, responsible for the tone that gave this particular unit its edge.
Black Lion Audio and Chris Lorde Alge then set out to recreate it and added useful features such as a Wet/Dry mix knob for parallel compression.
