The ALM Busycircuits Turismo is a fully integrated 84hp Eurorack modular workstation that combines analogue and digital synthesis, sampling, sequencing, modulation and DSP effects in a portable performance-focused system.

Analogue Synthesis

At the core of the Turismo lies a suite of analogue circuits including the TAZM-O oscillator, the dual MCFx2 filter, MEGA MILTON utilities and the MEGA-TANG stereo VCA mixer. The TAZM-O delivers triangle-core stability with through-zero frequency modulation, morphable waveforms, dual sub outputs, voltage-controlled FM index, built-in VCA and octave transposition. The MCFx2 features two classic three-pole multimode filter cores that can operate independently or linked in series or parallel. MEGA MILTON incorporates line input conversion, a four-channel mixer, gated slew limiter, sample and hold with white noise, and other essential utilities. The MEGA-TANG provides a four-channel stereo VCA and mixer with level, panning, effect sends, muting and direct outs for independent VCA control.

Digital Synthesis, Sampling and DSP

The digital side balances the analogue character with modern versatility. CIZZLE delivers dual phase distortion oscillators with CZ-style synthesis for chordal textures, resonant squelches, basslines and evolving tones. The Squid Salmple offers eight-channel audio and CV sampling with real-time recording and manipulation, shipped with a curated 90-bank library of royalty-free sounds. MFX provides a stereo DSP multi-effects engine with 18 effects including delays, reverbs, distortion, dynamics, glitch, frequency shifting and metering utilities, inspired by hardware processors spanning the 1970s to the present.

Sequencing and Modulation

Sequencing is handled by Pamela’s PRO Workout, ASQ-1, Quaid Megaslope and Pip Slope. Pamela’s PRO Workout generates eight highly editable clock-synchronised outputs for rhythms, waveforms, quantised melodies and randomised modulation. The ASQ-1 offers immediate hands-on sequencing with SH-101 style step programming and drum machine-style pattern editing. Quaid Megaslope serves as a multistage envelope, flexible LFO or step sequencer with per-step slides and multiple CV inputs, while Pip Slope supplies compact envelope generation with modes including pseudo-echo, bouncing ball and looping functions.

Performance and Connectivity

Turismo is engineered for seamless live and studio use. The mmMidi and mmT modules ensure full MIDI integration, translating note, velocity and gate data alongside MIDI clock and triggers. The MEGA MILTON integrates external sources via stereo line input, while the HPO module outputs clean stereo headphone or line-level audio. The MEGA-TANG’s mixer section integrates tightly with the MFX effects send/return, creating a centralised hub for real-time performance.

Design and Portability

This 84hp system features neodyme bronze anodised side panels and custom coloured controls. It comes travel-ready with a Decksaver protective cover, international power supply and patch cables. With full MIDI, stereo I/O and headphone connectivity, Turismo provides a self-contained modular ecosystem that fits easily in a rucksack, making it equally suitable for live sets, DAWless production and integrated studio work.
