The EVE Audio SC305 is a compact active 3-way nearfield studio monitor featuring dual 5-inch SilverCone woofers, an RS3 Air Motion Transformer tweeter, 150W of total amplification, a frequency response of 50Hz to 21kHz, and a maximum SPL of 108dB, delivering highly detailed monitoring for professional stereo, surround, and centre-channel applications.
The EVE Audio SC305 combines the precision of a professional three-way monitoring system with a compact cabinet format suitable for modern production environments. Designed for critical listening, mixing, mastering and post-production, the SC305 distributes frequencies efficiently across dedicated drivers to achieve greater clarity, lower distortion and improved transient response than conventional two-way monitors.
Its symmetrical driver arrangement allows the monitor to operate effectively in horizontal stereo configurations, surround systems and centre-channel positions, making it particularly versatile in professional studios.
The SC305 employs a dedicated three-way design that improves efficiency by assigning specific frequency ranges to individual drivers. One 5-inch SilverCone woofer operates as a dedicated bass driver up to 350Hz, while the second 5-inch SilverCone driver reproduces bass and midrange frequencies up to the 3kHz crossover point.
This approach reduces mechanical workload on each driver, minimises inertia and improves transient accuracy. The result is greater detail, improved separation and a more natural representation of complex mixes.
The dual-woofer configuration also extends low-frequency performance down to 50Hz, providing a fuller bass response than comparable compact monitors.
The SC305 features EVE Audio’s RS3 Air Motion Transformer tweeter, an advanced development of ribbon driver technology. The hand-folded diaphragm uses an aluminium-coated membrane operating within a powerful magnetic field.
Unlike traditional dome tweeters, the AMT design moves air at a ratio of approximately 4:1, producing greater efficiency, faster transient response and significantly lower distortion. This design enables exceptional high-frequency detail, improved stereo imaging and enhanced clarity throughout the critical upper frequency range.
The RS3 version incorporates a larger faceplate and stronger magnet structure to further improve efficiency and dynamic performance.
EVE Audio equips the SC305 with high-resolution DSP processing controlled via the front-panel SMART-knob interface. This system allows precise adjustment of volume, room compensation filters and operational settings directly from the monitor.
The integrated DSP preserves signal integrity through a high-quality analogue-to-digital conversion stage while providing convenient access to acoustic optimisation tools. Users can store settings and engage parameter lock functions to prevent accidental adjustments.
The DSP section includes several filters that help optimise performance within different acoustic environments.
The High Shelf filter adjusts frequencies above 3kHz, allowing compensation for listening distance and room reflectivity.
The Mid filter provides adjustment around 1kHz, helping to balance midrange content and compensate for room-induced colouration.
The Desk filter addresses low-mid frequency build-up caused by reflections from desks, consoles and other nearby surfaces while also allowing enhancement of lower frequencies when required.
The Low Shelf filter adjusts frequencies below 300Hz, enabling correction of bass build-up caused by room modes or boundary placement.
Together, these controls allow accurate tailoring of the monitor to a wide range of studio environments.
The SC305 uses three dedicated 50W PWM amplifiers, delivering a total output of 150W per speaker. This tri-amplified configuration provides independent power for each driver section, ensuring optimal control, low noise operation and excellent dynamic performance across the entire frequency spectrum.
The system achieves a maximum sound pressure level of 108dB per pair, offering sufficient headroom for demanding professional monitoring applications.
EVE Audio employs a rear-mounted rectangular bass reflex port rather than conventional front-facing circular ports. The enlarged rear port design improves low-frequency efficiency, reduces turbulence and minimises port compression at higher listening levels.
This construction enables punchy, controlled bass reproduction while maintaining a clean cabinet aesthetic and reducing unwanted distortion.
The SC305 provides both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, allowing straightforward integration into professional and project studio environments.
The monitor also incorporates DSP-assisted left and right speaker assignment, simplifying setup and ensuring symmetrical performance regardless of placement orientation.
Additional features such as Safe Fade-In power-up protection, mute functionality, standby mode and parameter locking contribute to reliable day-to-day operation.
