The Eventide H90 Black is a dual-engine multi-effects harmoniser pedal built on a powerful ARM-based platform derived from the H9000, offering studio-grade signal processing with 62 high-quality effects and comprehensive I/O flexibility.
Advanced Architecture and Sound Engine
Powered by Eventide’s modern ARM-based architecture, the H90 Black draws its core from the flagship H9000, delivering unprecedented processing capabilities in pedal format. It includes all the algorithms from the original H9 and expands its palette with ten additional algorithms — seven newly developed and three directly ported from Eventide's iconic rackmount units. Among its innovations is Spectral Instantaneous Frequency tracking, enabling fast, warble-free, polyphonic pitch shifting suitable for complex harmonic content and demanding live setups.
Dual Algorithm Programs and Flexible Routing
The H90 runs two algorithms simultaneously within a single program, opening creative potential by combining effects for complex signal chains. Users can route these algorithms in series or parallel to suit their workflow. The pedal also enables true spillover between programs, ensuring seamless transitions between sounds. Its dual-mode operation allows independent processing of two stereo instruments or complex four-cable routing scenarios, making it adaptable for both stage and studio use.
Insert Capability and I/O Configuration
Two mono inserts can be deployed in any position within the signal path or combined into a stereo loop. Each input and output can operate at line or instrument level, offering integration with a wide range of gear, from synths and mixers to guitars and pedalboards.
Performance Interface and Controls
Designed for immediate live control, the H90 Black features five parameter knobs, seven LED function buttons, and a high-resolution OLED display. Two multifunction footswitches govern Bank, Select and Perform modes, while Perform mode gives access to six fully assignable footswitches. Tap tempo, preset changes, insert bypass and three hotSwitches — each capable of shifting multiple parameters instantly — enable intuitive real-time modulation.
Preset Management and Playlists
The unit includes hundreds of factory programs, accessible via Select or Bank modes. Select mode enables sequential browsing, while Bank mode offers quick access to three programs simultaneously — ideal for live setlists. Users can curate personal playlists for efficient navigation during performances.
