The Gainlab Audio GLA-MP1 Bishop is an incredibly well-designed all-tube recording channel with an excellent feature set and high-quality components throughout.
It provides far more than you would expect from a standard high-grade channel strip. All functions have been carefully designed to push the sound recording process to a new level. A dual ring of stepped gain control ensures the perfect fain setup and provides all of the functionality that you would expect from a preamp.
The inbuilt dual-slope optical compressor has a unique architecture that allows it to perform similarly to a traditional LA2A while also allowing it to do much more with extensive configurable features for the second slope. The BISHOP features a function called Dynamic AIR that handles high-frequency correction while working in conjunction with the compressor.
