The Genelec 8351B in Custom RAL-120 Colour is a high-performance three-way coaxial studio monitor that delivers an ultra-flat frequency response of 32 Hz to 43 kHz, powered by an advanced tri-amplified system and engineered for pinpoint accuracy in acoustically demanding environments.
Unlimited Colour Options with RAL-120
Previously limited to black, white, and grey finishes, the Genelec ONE Series—comprising the 8331, 8341, and 8351B—now comes in any RAL-120 colour, giving engineers, producers, and integrators full control over visual aesthetics. Whether aligning with a studio’s design language, architectural space, or brand identity, this update ensures the monitor seamlessly integrates into any environment without compromising technical performance.
Innovative Acoustic Design
The 8351B is the flagship model in the ONE Series and features a uniquely engineered coaxial design that places the midrange driver and tweeter in a minimum diffraction coaxial (MDC) enclosure. This design maintains phase accuracy and delivers consistent sound reproduction across the entire listening area, both on- and off-axis. The vertical and horizontal imaging remains pristine thanks to the incorporation of Genelec’s proprietary Maximised Directivity Controlled Waveguide (MaxDCW™), which optimises directivity and minimises early room reflections.
Power and Precision
Genelec powers the 8351B with a tri-amplified system comprising 250 W of Class D amplification for the 8 ¾" woofer, 150 W for the midrange driver, and an additional 150 W Class A/B amp for the tweeter. This robust amplification supports a high maximum sound pressure level (SPL) and ensures low distortion across the entire frequency range. The monitor’s frequency response is calibrated to ±1.5 dB between 38 Hz and 20 kHz, with a full range extending from 32 Hz to 43 kHz, making it ideal for critical listening applications.
Acoustically Concealed Woofer Technology
Behind its sleek front baffle, the 8351B features Genelec’s Acoustically Concealed Woofers (ACW™), positioned beneath the MaxDCW™. These innovative hidden low-frequency drivers radiate through openings around the monitor’s perimeter, delivering tight and accurate bass response while maintaining the unit’s compact form factor.
Smart Active Monitoring (SAM™) Technology
The 8351B integrates seamlessly into Genelec’s SAM ecosystem, enabling full configuration and calibration via GLM software. It supports AutoCal™, which automatically aligns levels, delay, and room response EQ for consistent monitoring across complex or irregular acoustic environments. Through the SAM network, multiple monitors can be synchronised and fine-tuned to ensure optimal imaging and frequency balance in any studio.
Connectivity and Form Factor
The rear panel includes one XLR analogue input, two XLR AES/EBU digital I/O ports for daisy-chaining, and two RJ45 control network ports for integration into SAM systems. Despite its advanced technology, the enclosure remains remarkably compact at 17.75" x 11.25" x 11", offering space-efficient performance without acoustic compromise.
