The GML 8304 is a transformerless four-channel mic preamp designed to provide up to 70dB of gain.
The GML 8304 offers high resolving power for a degree of realism and transparency like you’ve never heard before capturing the sound of your source with no colouration. Ideal for critical and audiophile recordings.
Boasting simple controls on the front panel, the 8304 delivers gain between 15dB to an impressive 70dB in 5dB steps for precise settings and recall. It can easily accommodate ribbon microphones with low output as well as line-level sources. A +24dBv clip indicator is provided to indicate overloads.
The 8304 uses an all-discrete bipolar transistor circuit with no FET ICs or electrolytic capacitors in the audio path ensuring a clean audio path free from unwanted distortion. The outputs are also direct-coupled, using active servos to remove DC without adding any colouration
The 8304 fits compactly in only 1U of rack space and includes the external GML 8355 Power Supply.
