The HEDD Type 30 mk2 is a 4-way active studio monitor providing high-quality full-range performance that will satisfy the requirements of professional recording and mixing studios.
The HEDD Type 30 mk2 houses two 7” bass and one 4” midrange honeycomb woofers as well as HEDD's Air Motion Transformer tweeter for ultra-accurate high-frequency reproduction. All four drivers are powered by 300W Class-D ICEpower amplifier modules.
The Type 30 provides superior acoustic accuracy with high fidelity bass and midrange reproduction and pristine high-frequency material. With a frequency response ranging from 30Hz all the way up to 50kHz, this studio monitor will deliver accurate performance that will ensure accurate translation on other systems.
The Type 30 accepts unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR inputs but features a free input card system to receive its optional HEDD Bridge card system, allowing for the direct connection of Dante and Audio-over-IP standards.
The HEDD Type 30 mk2 includes HEDD's CoP technology, trying to reconcile the debate between closed or ported speakers. Using a combination of plugs and filters, it is now possible to choose which of the two modes you prefer.
The Type 30 mk2 boasts a built-in HEDD Lineariser which ensures perfect phase response. This dramatically helps with spatial reproduction opening up the stereo image offered by your speakers. Furthermore, Group Delay Compensation is employed to compensate for the distance between HEDD's subwoofer and the satellites, creating the first Linear Subwoofer / Satellite system.
