Vacuum Tube Saturation Beyond Specifications

The Cassiopeia module leverages the inherent qualities of vacuum tubes by operating them in saturation. In this state, the tubes exceed their typical operating parameters, leading to the generation of rich harmonic overtones. This effect is achieved via the SATURATION potentiometer, which adjusts the level of incoming signal processed by the vacuum tubes. As the SATURATION control is increased, the tubes are pushed further outside their ideal specifications, inducing a characteristic soft clipping that results in a more musical distortion, providing a warm, analogue-like texture to the sound.

Intense Blending with the INTENSITY Control
