The Luke Audio AL-Y56 Black Magic is a high-end tube large condenser microphone system comprising of three hot-swappable lollipop capsules and NOS GE JAN 6072a vacuum tube.

The Luke Audio AL-Y56 uses three different capsules designed to offer different sonic flavours inspired by classic microphones. The A1 capsule is a custom reproduction of the CK12, while the A2 and A3 are reproductions of the K67 and K47 respectively. The hot-swappable nature of the capsules lets you change the tonal characteristics of your microphone in an instant. All three capsules have a fixed cardioid polar pattern.

The body includes an Electro-Harmonix 6072a dual-triode vacuum tube chosen for its lower noise and microphonics as well as its smooth response and warm tone. All vacuum tubes are hand-selected and thoroughly tested before use.

Likewise, all the components in the circuit are carefully hand-selected and hand soldered. The signal is fed through a custom-wound 11.5:1 output transformer.
