Complete Control Over Signal Routing
Achieve total command of complex audio routing without the limitations of digital systems, ensuring pristine signal integrity and immediate tactile feedback for professional audio applications.
The FCPRO.AUDIO Mixthesizer Matrix is a fully analogue modular audio routing matrix system featuring scalable input and output configurations, per-path level control via potentiometers, TRS connectivity, and flexible mono or stereo routing designed for advanced signal management in professional audio environments.
The FCPRO.AUDIO Mixthesizer Matrix delivers a modern interpretation of analogue signal routing by combining the immediacy of classic hardware matrix mixers with expanded modular scalability and precise level control across every signal path. The system centres on a 4x4 module architecture, where each module provides four inputs and four outputs, allowing users to construct larger routing systems by integrating multiple units. This approach maintains the tactile control associated with traditional analogue routing while introducing a flexible and expandable framework suitable for complex studio and performance setups.
The Mixthesizer Matrix operates as a fully analogue routing system, ensuring signal integrity and eliminating latency inherent in digital systems. Each input can route to one or multiple outputs, allowing complex signal distributions without the need for digital summing or conversion. This design supports parallel processing chains, multi-destination routing, and layered signal blending, all controlled directly from the front panel.
Each module incorporates sixteen dedicated potentiometers, providing independent level control for every input-to-output path. This granular control allows precise balancing of signals at each routing intersection, enabling users to sculpt complex mixes, control gain staging, and manage signal interactions without relying on external mixing systems.
The system includes DIP switch configuration for all inputs and outputs, allowing each channel to operate in either mono or stereo mode. This flexibility supports a wide range of signal types, from mono synthesiser outputs to stereo effects chains, ensuring compatibility across diverse studio and live performance setups.
The modular construction enables scalable system configurations, ranging from compact 4x4 setups to large-scale matrices such as 16x16 or beyond. Users can combine multiple modules to create custom routing environments tailored to specific workflows, maintaining consistency in control and layout across expanded systems.
The unit utilises 6.3 mm TRS connections, ensuring compatibility with professional audio equipment. It operates on an external ±15V DC power supply via a 5-pin XLR connection, supporting stable analogue performance. The physical construction includes a metal front panel for durability and wooden side panels for structural integrity and aesthetic refinement within studio environments.
The Mixthesizer Matrix suits musicians, sound designers, and engineers who require direct control over signal flow. It enables the construction of personalised audio chains, facilitates complex routing for outboard gear, and supports experimental configurations in both studio and live contexts. The system enhances creative flexibility by allowing real-time reconfiguration without interrupting signal flow.
