  • Razor-sharp imaging due to extremely low tolerances (± 0.8 dB)
  • May be combined with other KH line speakers in immersive/surround setups

The Neumann KH 150 is a nearfield two-way active studio monitor with a new 6.5" woofer, high SPL capabilities and Neumann's latest generation DSP control.

The Neumann KH 150 builds upon Neumann's previous speaker design to offer the highest linearity, lowest distortion and no colouration. Furthermore, the KH 150 can adapt to any acoustic environment resulting in a detailed reproduction of sound that allows every nuance to be heard, making mixes faster and easier.

The KH 150 boasts a new 6.5" high precision woofer housed in a carefully designed bass reflex cabinet, delivering a deeper bass response down to 39Hz. The woofer is powered by a 145W amp, ensuring perfect transient response even at high SPL.

With a linear frequency response between 39Hz-21kHz and its ability to linearise the phase response, the KH 150 delivers an impressive level of transparency and detail, resulting in a perfect reproduction of the transients and reverb tails. DSP-controlled electronics allow for refined crossovers, removing phase distortion associated with analogue filters. this also allows a new level of tonal consistency with each speaker remaining within extremely low tolerances.

A lot of care has been placed on the acoustic design of the speakers, ensuring optimum results in acoustic environments. for example, Neumann's Mathematically Modeled Dispersion ensures a wide sweet spot while minimising unwanted reflections of the desk. Used in combination with Neumann's MA1 system (sold separately), Neumann's Automatic Monitor Alignment system ensures optimum calibration of the speakers to the acoustics of the room.

The KH 150 also includes AES67 integrated redundant audio network ports, is compliant with RAVENNA and other broadcast standards such as ST 2110 and ST2022-7 and is compatible with AES67 network streams produced by DANTE.

To power these speakers, Neumann has developed a patent-pending amplifier technology to deliver superior audio performance with the energy efficiency of Class D amplification. As a result, the KH 150 only consumes 17 W when idle. Furthermore, it includes an optional auto-standby mode that can be engaged to reduce power consumption to 0.3 W when not in use.
