The Neumann KM 183 is an small diaphragm condenser microphone designed to capture a precise, clean sound.
The Neumann KM 183 has a fixed omni polar pattern and is ideal for close miking of acoustic instruments or to record an orchestra with as a AB stereo pair in a diffuse sound field.
The KM 183 uses Neumann’s K 30 gold-spluttered mylar diaphragm and provides a linear frequency response all the way up to 3kHz before seeing a noticeable boost all the way up to 10kHz. Its transformerless.
