The PMC12 XBD builds on the classic reputation of the PMC10 XBD while introducing a larger scale, greater dynamics, deeper bass extension and higher maximum SPL. Each system comprises two Advanced Transmission Line (ATL™) cabinets that incorporate LaminairX™ venting for unrivalled low‑frequency control and efficiency. The primary cabinet houses a hand‑crafted 34 mm soft‑dome tweeter and a PMC75v3 midrange driver, both fitted with PMC’s proprietary n‑compass™ waveguide to guarantee consistent dispersion, phase integrity and tonal uniformity across the listening area.

Low‑frequency reproduction relies on two in‑house‑designed 12‑inch bass drivers per cabinet. Double‑stacked magnets, three‑inch three‑layer voice coils and exceptionally stable suspensions preserve linear motor force throughout extended pistonic excursions, resulting in ultra‑low distortion at any monitoring level. Power is supplied by the master36 rack‑mount DSP and amplification platform, which delivers 800 W to the high‑ and mid‑frequency drivers and 1 000 W to each bass driver, totalling 3.6 kW per cabinet. The integrated DSP provides optimised crossovers, transparent driver protection and comprehensive room‑EQ via the SoundAlign2 browser‑based interface.
