Polyend Press is a fully analogue stereo VCA compressor pedal that combines studio-grade transparency, parallel compression, and sidechain control in a compact aluminium enclosure designed for modern music production and live performance.

Studio-Grade Stereo Compression

Press delivers true stereo input and output via TRS connections, removing the limitations of mono compression pedals and making it suitable for end-of-chain applications, such as master bus compression or stereo signal processing from synths and drum machines. With a fully analogue circuit, it provides transparent gain reduction with high headroom, maintaining the integrity of the original signal.

Advanced Compression Control

This unit offers complete control over compression parameters, including separate threshold, ratio, attack and release settings. The ratio is continuously variable, ranging from gentle 2:1 compression to full limiting. This level of precision ensures the Press adapts to a variety of sonic tasks, whether it's tightening dynamic range on a live synth rig or levelling out intricate guitar passages.

Parallel Compression with Tilt EQ

Users can blend compressed and dry signals using the mix control for true parallel compression, without the phase issues associated with digital units. The integrated Tilt EQ operates exclusively on the wet signal, allowing tonal adjustments by boosting highs while cutting lows or vice versa, enhancing clarity or warmth as needed.

Unique Stereo Sidechain Functionality

Press incorporates stereo sidechain functionality via both internal signal routing and an external stereo input. A dedicated footswitch toggles between the two modes. High pass and low pass filters sculpt the sidechain signal, preventing problematic frequency ranges—such as excessive low-end from a kick drum or harsh highs from a snare—from falsely triggering gain reduction. This grants precise control rarely seen in analogue pedals.

Compact and Robust Design

Housed in a rugged aluminium chassis with matching aluminium knobs, Press offers portability without compromising durability. Despite its small footprint, the pedal integrates all essential studio functions, making it a powerful tool for demanding studio engineers and live performers alike.
