Polyend Tracker SE refines the original Tracker with a durable, precision-machined all-metal chassis designed for demanding studio or live use. The silver aluminium top and matte black bottom provide a clean, industrial aesthetic, while the square low-profile keys enhance tactile control. The ergonomic layout integrates a large, high-contrast LCD screen and 48 silicone input pads known as The Grid, enabling rapid data entry and real-time sequencing.
Integrated Sampling and Sequencing Engine
The Tracker SE operates on a vertical timeline sequencing model and supports both sample-based composition and granular/wavetable synthesis. The onboard sampler offers various playback modes including one-shot, forward, reverse and ping-pong, with a built-in slicer to divide audio into editable segments manually or automatically. Users can record directly via line-in, mic or radio source, and store up to 133 seconds of mono audio per project, doubling when using low-quality sample import.
Advanced Sound Design Capabilities
A comprehensive suite of destructive sample-editing tools allows deep manipulation of audio content. Users can apply effects such as EQ, compressor, limiter, bitcrusher, delay with sync and feedback controls, chorus, flanger and overdrive. These can be assigned to individual samples or limited to specific regions using start and end markers. Granular and wavetable synthesis engines convert samples into dynamic instruments, complete with filters and ADSR envelopes for shaping.
Firmware 1.7 Enhancements
Tracker SE ships with firmware version 1.7, introducing major upgrades including new sample editor functionality, enhanced EQ and dynamics processing, and multiple new audio saturation algorithms. The update also includes an ‘Extra Headroom’ mode for greater clarity and a ‘Snap to Zero’ looping tool for seamless transitions. Improvements to the user interface and MIDI implementation further streamline workflow and live integration.
Performance Mode for Live Sets
Designed for both studio production and live performance, the Tracker SE features a dedicated Performance Mode. This lets users trigger live effects, remix patterns, and manipulate individual tracks or full mixes in real time. The hardware’s portability and compatibility with USB power sources make it well suited for mobile production and on-stage use.
Multifunctional and Self-Contained
Functioning simultaneously as a sampler, synthesiser and step sequencer, the Tracker SE gives producers a complete all-in-one solution. The interface is built for efficiency with eight screen keys linked to dynamic menus, responsive jog wheel navigation, and dedicated function buttons for quick access to sequencing tools, file management and sound sculpting.
