Extended Reach
Transmit pristine stereo signals up to 100 meters, allowing musicians to free up stage space and maintain high-quality sound without the clutter of traditional cabling.
The Radial Engineering SGI Stereo TX/RX is a high‑performance two‑channel line‑driver system that transmits unbalanced guitar signals up to 100 metres (300 ft) over a single Cat‑5 Ethernet cable, powered by 9‑18 V supplies and equipped with premium Jensen transformers for pristine tone.
Radial’s original SGI concept delivered clean, low‑noise signal transmission for mono instruments; the SGI Stereo expands this legacy with true stereo capability, locking RJ45 etherCON connectors compatible with Neutrik, and a 180° polarity‑reverse switch on the receiver. The updated unit retains the rugged metal chassis and simple power‑supply flexibility while adding L/R thru‑puts on the RX for local amp connections, allowing musicians to keep a compact footprint on stage or in the studio.
Guitarists can plug two ¼‑inch instrument cables into the TX, run a single Cat‑5 cable to the RX, and monitor the full stereo output through studio monitors without latency. The system eliminates the need for bulky XLR runs, reduces cable clutter, and preserves the natural dynamics of pedals, pedalboards, and amp modelers.
On large venues the SGI Stereo combats capacitance‑induced tone loss and lighting‑induced interference by balancing each channel before transmission. Musicians can place the TX near the pedalboard and locate the RX up to 100 m away, feeding isolated cabinets, under‑stage amps, or quiet rooms while maintaining signal integrity.
The SGI Stereo integrates seamlessly with existing Ethernet infrastructure, enabling complex routing chains such as a wireless receiver → classic SGI → SGI Stereo TX/RX pairs for dual‑amp setups. Its robust construction tolerates touring rigors, and the polarity‑reverse switch simplifies phase alignment across multiple cabinets.
Both units accept any external power supply ranging from 9 V to 18 V, granting users the freedom to choose battery packs, pedalboard supplies, or wall adapters without compromising performance.
