The Sonnet Fusion RX1600 is a 96 TB 16-drive RAID SATA rackmount storage system designed to offer the fastest and most reliable performance as well as the biggest capacity of all Sonnet range.

The Sonnet Fusion RX1600 RAID storage system is designed for environment that require critical reliability, fault tolerance and maximum availability. As a result it handles easily uncompressed HD while simultaneously protecting all the data.

In real work environment, its performance are spectacular with up to 1750 MB/sec read and 1250 MB/sec write fast enough to handle uncompressed 10-bit 1-80 4:4:4 HD or multiple streams of ProRes 422HD uncompressed 8-bit 1080 HD, Dv, HDV and DVCPro video. Furthermore is is capable of 2K (2048 x1556) LOG RGB capture and playback.

It can also deliver high stream counts thanks to the use of Advanced Data Streaming technology which provides acceleration of data transfers, compensates for transfer speed peaks and drops to ensure constant data flow.

The RX1600RAID supports RAID4, 5, 6, 10 and DVRAID to offer consistent protection. RAID groups can be setup so that any designated hot spares can remain unused in the background to automatically replace a failed drive. Fusion storage systems use Enterprise RAID eidition hard drives which have been carefully selected for their performance, error handling and reliability.

Fusion RX1600RAID can be upgraded up to 128TB, but in istances where more is requrired, upgrade paths are available by daisy-chaining the Fusion RX1600 RAID Expansion systems.

• Enterprise Class Components - Redundant, universal 100–240V, 50/60Hz power supplies, and redundant fan modules are hot-swappable.
• Easy, Economic Expandability - Internal SAS expanders enable you to connect up to eight RX1600RAID and RX1600 Expansion enclosures to a single Sonnet 6Gb/s SAS/SATA RAID controller card.
