Stereo Versatility
The Sontronics Apollo 2 features dual ribbons in a Blumlein configuration for superior stereo imaging, perfect for capturing room ambiance and detailed soundscapes in both live and studio settings.
The Sontronics Apollo 2 is an active stereo ribbon microphone designed to be used as an overhead or room microphone.
The Sontronics Apollo 2 uses two highly sensitive ribbons mounted in a Blumlein configuration for stereo miking. Each element can also be used on their own for mono operations. It delivers open top-end with surprising clarity as well as deep and full sound. Active in design, the Apollo 2 uses a phantom power circuit and custom-wound UK-made transformers allowing it to be used with very little gain.
The sound of the Apollo 2 is rich, surprisingly life-like with a three-dimensional stage that makes it ideal for recording overhead, room ambiance, orchestras, percussions and more.
