CHAIN provides four independent mixer channels within a compact 14 HP Eurorack format. Each channel accepts either a mono or stereo signal, making the module suitable for a wide range of modular synthesiser configurations without requiring dedicated mono or stereo inputs. The module builds upon the concept of the LINK mixer by integrating the equivalent of four LINK modules into a single 3U Eurorack format. This design delivers greater channel density while preserving the clean interface and transparent audio performance that define the original concept.

Flexible Stereo and Mono Operation

Each channel automatically adapts to mono or stereo operation. Connecting a signal to the left input only configures the channel for mono use, allowing the pan control to position the signal anywhere within the stereo field. Connecting signals to both left and right inputs enables stereo operation while retaining access to the pan control, which adjusts the stereo image without sacrificing channel balance.

CHAIN uses a sine/cosine pan law to create smooth and natural stereo movement. This approach maintains consistent perceived loudness while signals move across the stereo field, making level changes less noticeable during performance or recording.

Despite occupying only 14 HP, CHAIN provides four complete mixer channels with dedicated controls for level and stereo placement. The volume controls operate on a logarithmic curve, allowing accurate adjustment from unity gain down to approximately -60 dB.
