Overview

EP-40 RIDDIM provides a compact yet deeply expressive production environment for real-time performance and sound design, combining a sampler, sequencer and synthesiser with pressure-sensitive keys and a multifunction performance fader that shapes sound instantly. The onboard 128MB memory loads over 300 curated instruments and sounds from leading reggae producers, allowing immediate access to authentic tones. The subtractive synth engine delivers classic bass and lead timbres while pressure-controlled dub sirens create signature reggae energy live. Its sequencing engine outputs tightly locked MIDI patterns alongside grid-synced audio loops for seamless integration with outboard gear.

Creative Workflow

The unit offers nine user-editable project slots, supplying enough space to craft and recall diverse sets. Seven dedicated FX combine with twelve punch-in FX for evolving dub textures and rhythm sculpting in real time. Sampling at 46kHz and 16-bit preserves clarity while maintaining vintage character.

Connectivity and Build

Stereo input and output accompany sync in/out, MIDI I/O and USB-C connectivity for integration with studio and stage setups. The compact chassis measures just 240 by 176 by 16mm, making it ideal for mobile production and performance setups where portability and immediate tactile control matter.
