KMR Audio - Vermona DSR-3 Dual Spring Reverb
Professional-grade stereo dual spring reverb unit featuring carefully matched AccuBell Type 9 tanks, transformer-balanced XLR outputs, dual-band EQ per channel, three operational modes (stereo, dual mono, serial), wide input compatibility, high signal-to-noise ratios, and a robust rackmount design with integrated PSU for consistent high-end performance in studio environments.

The Vermona DSR-3 is a high-end stereo dual spring reverb unit designed for professional use, featuring matched AccuBell Type 9 tanks, transformer-balanced XLR outputs, and three flexible operating modes for advanced routing and creative processing.

Stereo Spring Reverb for Demanding Applications

The Vermona DSR-3 is a stereo spring reverb using two AccuBell Type 9 tanks, carefully selected and matched for perfect channel balance and sonic integrity. Reverberation time ranges from 1.75 to 3 seconds, enabling a rich spatial character suited to both subtle ambience and pronounced vintage textures. Designed with discerning engineers in mind, this unit incorporates detailed equalisation per channel, with bass at 50 Hz offering ±13 dB of adjustment and treble at 7 kHz adjustable by ±22 dB.

Precision and Control

Each channel features a dedicated two-band EQ tailored to the frequency range of spring reverbs, giving users precise control over tonal shaping. In stereo mode, the first channel governs key parameters for consistent processing. Dual mono mode allows each channel to act independently, ideal for processing separate sources. Serial mode enables advanced routing, feeding the first reverb’s output into the second for extended reverb tails and experimental effects.

Professional Connectivity

Input options include unbalanced 6.3 mm jacks on the front and rear, with rear inputs having a 100 kΩ impedance. Balanced XLR inputs offer a 10 kΩ impedance for seamless integration into professional setups. Outputs reach +17 dBu and present an impedance below 600 Ω. Transformer balancing on the XLR outputs ensures superior fidelity and positions the unit as a viable DI box in studio environments. The direct signal boasts a signal-to-noise ratio of ≥94 dB, while the effected signal reaches ≥70 dB, preserving clarity across all applications.

Engineered for Reliability and Quality

Built in Erlbach, Germany, the DSR-3 embodies high-quality electroacoustic craftsmanship. Its internal power supply accepts 90 V to 240 V AC, ensuring global compatibility. Measuring 19" rack width, 2U height and 24.7 cm depth, and weighing 7 kg, the unit fits easily into studio racks while maintaining rugged reliability. Users benefit from the sonic warmth and natural diffusion spring reverbs are celebrated for, combined with modern connectivity and tonal control.
