The Warm Audio WA-251 recreates the iconic sound of the classic ELA M 251 microphone, employing a custom all-brass CK-12-style capsule and a 24k gold sputtered diaphragm for authentic vintage tonality.

The Warm Audio WA-251 is a multi-pattern tube large diaphragm condenser microphone inspired by the classic ELA M 251 microphone.
The Warm Audio WA-251 is the result of countless listening sessions and research to understand what makes the signature sound that makes the success of the original classic.
The Warm Audio WA-251 uses an all-brass CK-12-style capsule developed in-house to match the frequency response and tonality of the original capsule. The diaphragm uses a 24k gold sputtered 6-micron and NOS PET film made of Mylar.
The valve employed is a JJ 12AY7 made in the Slovak Republic. It offers a smooth tone full of vintage character. It is then augmented by a CineMag transformer which delivers a nice presence in the top end and larger than life bottom end.
It comes with a dedicated power supply and a high-end 7-pin XLR cable made by Gotham Audio in Switzerland which increases top end presence and clear imaging.
