The Wolff Audio ProPatch 128R is a cutting-edge, software-controlled analogue patchbay that seamlessly integrates with professional audio setups, offering pristine, relay-based signal routing with zero compromise, a transparent audio path, an intuitive app-based interface, extensive connectivity, scalable configurations, and robust reliability without generating heat or requiring a fan.
A patchbay must route audio with absolute transparency, and ProPatch achieves this through an extensive matrix of high-quality relays, ensuring the signal path remains as pure as a direct cable connection. Unlike other systems that employ FET switches or additional gain staging electronics, ProPatch eliminates any interference, preserving audio fidelity without alteration. The relay-based switching system ensures the routing process does not affect the integrity of the signal, making it ideal for demanding studio environments.
ProPatch is configured and managed via an intuitive software application available for Windows, macOS, and iPadOS. The app allows for effortless creation and management of complex routing chains, including mults, mono-to-stereo conversions, inserts, signal processors, and AB groups. Users can save and recall configurations instantly, streamlining workflow and ensuring session continuity. By treating hardware audio processors like digital plugins, ProPatch enables users to drag and drop devices into sophisticated routing chains that can be edited, auditioned, and recalled at any time.
Utilising telecom-grade relay technology rated for millions of cycles, ProPatch ensures long-term reliability and ultra-low power consumption. The absence of active electronics in the signal path allows for the transmission of full-bandwidth audio signals, mic-level sources, phantom power, control voltage, digital audio, and MIDI without degradation. The latching relays maintain the last routing configuration even in the event of a power loss, ensuring seamless operation without disruption.
Routing changes are confirmed by the soft click of a physical relay, providing immediate feedback. The web-enabled application connects to ProPatch via USB-C, Ethernet, or WiFi, enabling real-time adjustments, preset configuration, and storage of routing setups. Once configured, the last-used routing loads instantly upon power-up, minimising downtime and maximising efficiency.
The rear panel features DB25 connectors offering 48 channels of input and output, while the front panel includes 16 TT I/O pairs, four XLR/TRS combi jacks, and four TRS jacks. This flexible connectivity allows for seamless integration into existing TT patchbay systems, quick connection of temporary equipment, and expansion into larger routing setups by linking multiple ProPatch units together.
Designed to eliminate the interruptions associated with manual patching, ProPatch ensures fluid session transitions and uninterrupted creativity. Occupying a single rack space, it operates silently and requires no cooling fans, making it a direct replacement for conventional TT patchbays.
