EQ and Gain Architecture
The pedal features a precision 3-band EQ with ±15 dB of gain on selected low, mid, and high frequency ranges. Users can toggle the high band between a shelving and peak mode to sculpt the upper register with greater flexibility. This EQ circuit stems directly from API’s renowned studio heritage, bringing professional-grade tonal shaping to pedalboard setups.
Drive and Output Control
The onboard gain stage offers two distinct modes: Clean Boost for transparent amplification and Overdrive for pushing the input OpAmp, creating rich harmonic saturation. The pedal provides up to 40 dB of gain, ideal for driving amplifiers or hitting front-end pedals harder. A -20 dB output pad allows the player to maintain signal integrity when interfacing with sensitive downstream gear or during line-level routing.
