Based in Los Angeles, Overstayer Recording Equipment designs and builds distinctive analogue processors for engineers and producers who want to move beyond clean, conventional signal processing. Products including the Saturator NT-02A, Modular Channel, Stereo Voltage Control, Stereo Field Effect, M-A-S and 8776A Imperial Channel combine dynamics, harmonic generation and tone shaping in highly interactive circuits designed as much for creative experimentation as traditional studio processing.

Overstayer’s designs make extensive use of discrete analogue harmonic stages, VCA or FET dynamics, transformer-balanced outputs and flexible parallel processing, allowing anything from subtle peak rounding and analogue cohesion to aggressive saturation, compression and transient manipulation. Rather than recreating specific vintage equipment, Overstayer takes the character and behaviour associated with classic analogue recording chains and develops it into flexible modern processors with a sound and workflow very much of their own.
